Cottage cheese dip with herbs & mustard
Homemade is best! Making your own dip is really easy and so much healthier and more affordable. This dip is perfect to serve with an array of fresh seasonal fruit and veggies. And ideal to spread on sandwiches, wraps and pitas or even a burger. Dollop it as a sauce onto meat, baby potatoes (as a good alternative for mayo) or lightly steamed green veg. This versatile dip is so good and so easy to prepare. If you’re rushed for time, this is a recipe you’d want to add to your repertoire. - 250 ml (1 cup) plain smooth cottage cheese of your choice
- 45 ml (3 tbsp) chopped fresh Italian parsley
- 10 ml (2 tsp) wholegrain mustard
Method
- Mix all the ingredients until well-combined and enjoy as a delicious dip with veggie sticks or fruit like strawberries. Enjoy as part of a cheeseboard or as a sauce on meat balls or a piece of meat and it’s great on beef or chicken burgers.
- Serve it with a salad, add dollops on a side dish like roasted sweet potatoes or mushrooms or even with lightly steamed green veggies. It’s a delicious spread for any sandwich, wrap or as part of a pita filling. Use as a dipping sauce in a lunchbox.
